Which Golf Lesson Is Right for You?
Private lessons
A private lesson is 30 to 45 minutes of one-on-one instruction focused entirely on your game. It’s the best fit if you have a specific goal, like more consistent contact, a better short game, or fixing a slice that’s crept in, or if you simply learn best with undivided attention.
Semi-private and couples lessons
Semi-private lessons are an hour long and built for two golfers who want to learn together, whether that’s a couple, a parent and child, or two friends who play together. You’ll each get individual attention while sharing the cost.
Group lessons
Group lessons run an hour and are priced per person, which makes them an affordable way for a few friends, a family, or a team to learn the basics or sharpen up together. They’re a relaxed starting point for newer golfers, too.
Playing lessons
A playing lesson takes instruction out to the course for an hour. Instead of working on the range, you’ll play holes together and talk through club selection, course management, and the shots that come up in a real round. Playing lessons are available to Missoula Country Club members.
Junior lessons
Junior lessons are for golfers 17 and under, at a junior rate. Short, focused sessions help young players build sound fundamentals early. That matters whether they’re just starting or preparing for school golf.
One Lesson or a Series of Three?
A single lesson is a good way to get started or to tune up one part of your game. Real improvement usually comes from coming back: the first lesson sets a direction, and the next ones build on it once you’ve had time to practice.
That’s what the series of three is for. It’s priced below three individual lessons: an adult series is $240 for non-members instead of $270, or $200 for members instead of $225. A junior series is $125 for non-members instead of $150, or $100 for members instead of $120.
Junior Golf Lessons in Missoula
Connor has a long-standing focus on junior golf, and juniors 17 and under can book individual lessons or a series of three at the junior rate. For kids who’d like to learn alongside other young golfers, Connor also runs youth golf camps at MCC each summer for ages 7–17.

Every lesson is taught by Connor Sproull, a PGA Professional and the Head Golf Professional at the Missoula Country Club. A Missoula native with more than 25 years in the golf business, Connor has taught at the University of Montana Golf Course, TPC Snoqualmie Ridge, and Overlake Golf & Country Club, and works with golfers of every age and ability, from first-timers to competitive juniors.

How much do golf lessons cost in Missoula?
At the Missoula Country Club, an adult private lesson is $90 for non-members and $75 for members. Junior lessons are $50 and $40, semi-private lessons for two are $110 and $90, and group lessons are $60 and $50 per person. Series of three are also available at a lower rate than booking lessons one at a time.
How long is a golf lesson?
Individual adult and junior lessons run 30 to 45 minutes. Semi-private, group, and playing lessons are one hour.

What should I bring to a golf lesson?

Can non-members take lessons at the Missoula Country Club?
Yes. Private, junior, semi-private, group, and series lessons are all open to non-members. Playing lessons on the course are for members.
